Your Hug Can Kill

A hug is all it takes,
To break me down inside,
To pull me back and forth,
As the ocean pulls the tide.

A hug from you is death;
Death to all of my love.
You take it and you break it,
With that single, careless tug.

To anyone else, it's not the same,
As when you take me in your arms;
You greet me, then you grab me,
Not knowing your breaking my heart.

Careless, cruel and thoughtless,
Is all that you seem to be.
You'd never understand at all,
What your hug has done to me.

It's taken me, then held me close
And made me feel complete
It's reassured and promised love,
But now it's something cheap.

It's something thats worth nothing,
And something all but sweet.
Its hurt me and desert me,
Its thrown my heart into the street.

I should tell you not to hug me,
For your hug is made of lies,
I just can not bring myself to tell you,
For your hug has gotten me hyptnotized.
